Revlon Parfumerie Nail Polish Part 2: Review & Swatches
Today's Mani Monday will be to review a couple more shades from the Revlon Parfumerie polish line. I reviewed a few more shades here. This came out in stores a little over a month ago, and just as a reminder, this is the second go-round of scented polishes for Revlon. I didn't buy these for their scent, but I liked the colors so picked these up during a BOGO sale.

Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm: Review & Swatches
The flip side to the Revlon Matte Balms are the Lacquer Balms. These would clearly be the traditional glossy balm version of the jumbo lip pencil product of Revlon's newer lip offerings. These are more like the Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in the way it works.

Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm: Review & Swatches
The new thing from Revlon in the lip department are the new Colorburst Balms. There are two finishes, and today I'll be reviewing the Matte Balm. There is a good range of colors from light to dark to brights. These are to be part of the permanent collection as far as I can tell, so even if the displays have been picked over in your local drug store, you should be able to find them restocked soon.

Revlon Parfumerie Polish: Review & Swatches
These new Revlon Parfumerie Polishes have hit the stores in the last month or so, and more displays of these are cropping up. It's not the first time that Revlon has promoted a polish that is meant to have a scent (last time was roughly 3 years ago), but they have revamped the look with this go-round. These retail for $4-6, making a rather reasonably priced polish. However, keep in mind that at 0.4 fl oz, it's 20% (0.1 fl oz) less than the average polish amount.

New Revlon Evening Opulence Collection: Review & Swatches
As the fall collections are coming to the stores, some are eye catching, and others not so much. Only two items really stood out to me from the new fall 2013 Revlon The Evening Opulence Collection by Gucci Westman. A Color Burst lipgloss and nail polish.

Revlon Lip Butters Original Collection: Review & Swatches
These aren't new, they just have the original stickers on the tubes from when they were new. I figured I would continue my good streak of finally reviewing the originals of the limited edition shades I already have. These Revlon Lip Butters really need no introduction, but today I have Tutti Frutti and Candy Apple from the original collection to review today.

Revlon Photo Ready Blush in Flushed: Review & Swatch
Summer usually means easier applying products that doesn't weigh the skin down (at least it does for me since I don't do hot weather well). In comes cream products, and what better cream product than blush? The Revlon Photo Ready Blush in Flushed is a pretty choice.

Revlon Super Lustrous in Kiss Me Coral: Review & Swatches
I've always really like the Revlon Super Lustrous line of glosses (and I guess it's too late to review the old ones now that all but one color is discontinued). So today I bring you one from the new revamped line in the color Kiss Me Coral. I figured I'll start off with one color to make sure it's the same great formula as the original.

New Revlon Lip Butters: Review & Swatches
These are 2 of the 4 new Revlon Lip Butter shades available from the summer collection. I'm being weird and reviewing some limited edition shades before ones from the permanent line, but things don't always work out the way you intend. I figure I should share my review before these are no longer available.

Revlon FX Nail Polishes: Review & Swatches
Heart of Gold FX and Celestial FX |
Looking for a way to jazz up your nails? Could these two top coats be your answer? These came out earlier in the year, but seem to part of the permanent collection (I've seen them in the normal racks and it has a home). There is always a part of me that loves rainbows, magic, and unicorns, and the Revlon FX Nail Polishes seem to fill that urge.

Revlon Lash Potion Mascara: Review & Swatches
Before I get in too deep, this was sent to me for free from Revlon (I guess technically a Press Sample). I signed up for a random Revlon new product Twitter/Facebook contest thing (like I enjoy doing), and forgot all about it. Then last week, this bad boy ended up in my mail. I was totally excited because a) free things are great, b) I like trying out new products. Now I've never actually tried any Revlon mascaras that I can think of, which is a little odd I suppose. For some reason, despite the fact that I love Revlon lip and face products, I've just never ventured into the eye makeup territory with them. These are coming out in stores tomorrow according to the pamphlet included with the mascara, but I've seen these Lash Potion Mascara on display at my local CVS over the weekend. In any case, you should be able to see these cropping up in a store near you.

Happy Easter NOTD
Happy Easter everyone! I figured I would do a quick Nail of the Day (NOTD) post. The theme I was going for was Easter egg laying in grass. The grass portion didn't quite happen, but live and learn. I'll use a more opaque green next time. The products used are Essie Borrowed & Blue with Revlon Whimsical on top, and Pure Ice Sheer Luck as my grass. Hope you're having a sunnier Easter than I am since it's dark and dreary here. I want spring!

Revlon Sparkle Aplenty (Ritzy) Nail Polish: Review & Swatches
Revlon is one of the drug store brand of polishes (besides L'Oreal) that I think has really stepped up their game in terms of quality and unique shades. Sparkle Aplenty happens to be one of their glitter polishes that is meant to be a dupe of a high end brand nail polish (OPI Metallic 4 Life). I know some find it an affront that companies are "ripping off" others for a profit, but I say so what? All forms of marketing or similar products follow each other's lead, and if something works, why not find a cheaper alternative? On that note, these Revlon polishes run around $4-5. One more thing to keep in mind is that this polish might be called Ritzy now. I don't know why they changed names. Something to do with the transition from a limited edition to permanent? No clue.

Revlon Color Burst Lipstick: Review & Swatches
The Revlon Color Burst lipsticks were all the rage maybe a 1-2 years ago, and now they have kinda disappeared, but I still think they're great. There is a large variety of colors, and they retail for about $8-9 (they seem to be on sale a lot too, which is even better). They come in cute square tubes with a checked design and it's color coded on one end. What could be better than that?

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain: Review & Swatches
Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Crush (above) and Sweetheart (below)
The Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain (wow that's a mouthful) is essentially an over sized crayon balm with color for the lips. In the ads you see Emma Stone wearing it in Love Sick (just in case you're curious). According to Revlon, it gives smoother/softer lips while lasting "hour after hour". It retails between $7-$9 depending on where you buy it. There are 14 different color choices to choose from, and you can even go crazy and get a dark vampy shade since it's sheer. They seem like a dupe for the Clinique Chubby Stick Lip Colour Balm (yes they spell color in a pretentious way) especially in terms of packaging, but product wise, it's also similar to Tarte LipSurgence Lip Tint (for a review click here). In any case, the Revlon version is a cheaper alternative than either of those.
