Head & Shoulders Damage Rescue Review

Here is another product that I have received from Influenster for free to review.  For those who need a refresher of what Inluenster is, click here or go to their website directly.  Head &                                Shoulders has come out with a product that is more specifically formulated toward women (although not directly stated on the actual bottles).  The damage rescue portion is formulated to help with hair that has been abused from years of styling, drying, dying, etc.  It is an anti-dandruff shampoo that not only helps your scalp, but also helps the texture and life of the rest of your hair.

New Fergie Wet N Wild Centerstage Collection

I saw this display at Walgreens last week, and it definitely caught my eye.  The nail polishes appear to be the same as what has been out prior (this may not be true), but there are new cheek, lip, and eye products. Some of the products seemed different from past similar products (always a bonus).  I was a little curious to try them out, but I was in a hurry so couldn't do more than take a quick gander and leave.  Upon quick search on the internet, there seems to be no reviews that jumped out for these products.  I might just have to try it out and see how these perform.  Have any of you seen these in your local drug store? If so, please share your thoughts.

Holiday NOTD: Merry Christmas

Today's nail of the day is a Christmas version.  I used China Glaze Winter Holly over Merry Berry.  I used the Winter Holly to make an abstract Christmas tree (in this swatch picture the "tree" is upside down). To read the review of these polishes, you can click this link.   What is your Christmas nail polish?

SquareHue Nail Polish Subscribtion

I'm sure most of you are aware of some sort of monthly subscription service (there seems to be a bunch) such as Birchbox or Glossybox.  I'm still on the Brichbox band wagon and like it enough to continue for $10.  But have you ever wanted a way to satisfy your nail polish lemmings?  Now you can with SquareHue. From my research this is a totally new box service that came out with their first box this month to a bunch of bloggers.  The gist is that you get 3 nail polishes for $21/month, but if you sign up now under the different blogger codes, you can get the box for $14.99 for as long as you have the service.  I found my blogger code and info from The PolishAholic.  Just go to the link for the cheaper price if you'd like, and sign up by 12/24/12 to lock it in.  I signed up yesterday and I apparently won't get a box until March since they have an overwhelming request.  Now that's a long ways away.  We'll see how things pan out, and once I get my box, I'll review it for y'all (figure I'll add a little Southern drawl in homage to spending the last month in TN).  I'll include all the info and ins and outs at that time. Lush Sweet Lips Review

If you're like me (and probably most of the population), winter is not nice to your skin.  It seems like it makes no difference how much moisturizer I put on, my skin is still scaley.  My lips are no exception to this unfortunate yearly phenomenon. There in lies the beauty of such simple products such as Lush Sweet Lips.  For those of you unaware of what Lush is, it's a chain of stores that makes, bathing products (soaps, bath bombs, etc), lotions, shampoos, (toiletry stuff in general), cosmetics, and perfume.  Their big shtick is that they use good for you ingredients without all the preservatives, etc. and it's hand made.  It's an eye dazzling place with a lot of products, but the mixture of smells can be overpowering at times.  The upside? The actual store locations are usually pretty generous in giving out free samples when you purchase items or want to try something out.  Luckily you can buy most of their products online as well (fresh items that need to be refrigerated are only available in actual stores).

China Glaze in Get Carried Away: Review & Swatches

China Glaze Get Carried Away is one of the polishes from the Cirque du Soleil collection that they have out now.  The collection was already mostly picked over by the time I go to it, but I was able to snag this one.  There are other nice bright creams available from the collection, but I felt I have similar enough colors that I didn't feel the need to explore. I really wanted the other top coat glitter, but none was available. Ce la vie.

Silk Soy Egg Nog Review

Today's holiday item might be the one I have enjoyed the most, but it's a close call. It's the Silk Soy Nog.  Each year I get super excited when I see the egg nogs start cropping up.  I get giddy and go to my happy place.  I love it.  I want it year round, but it's probably a good thing it's not available since it's not the healthiest drink available.  Now I have an alternative that's 90 calories per half cup.  I don't know how many calories real egg nog has, but I'm pretty sure it's significantly more than that.

A-England New Shades

I got a nice little email informing me of 2 new shades available from a-England. For those of you unaware of this brand, it's an English brand (go figure) of nail polish. They are a 3 free and cruelty free brand that has recently been expanding their collection. Their original collection, The Mythicals, is based on the King Arthur tales and they are lovely. I have 2 shades that perform superbly from it (will swatch in the future). The 2 new shades they are touting are And the Moonbeams..., which is a golden shade with a hint of silver, and She Walks in Beauty, a gold with rose hexagonal glitter. Their pricing is in pounds, but the polishes come out to about $14.50 with the current exchange rate. There's free shipping according to the email they sent me, but don't quote me on that. Are you interested in trying either was these new shades? I'm personally excited about She Walks in Beauty. Bailey's Holiday Creamer Review: White Silk & Spice

Next on the list of holiday items to share with you is a seasonal creamer from Bailey's. Now to be quite honest, the reason I got this is because it was on sale, but out of all the flavors available, I decided on this one. It's a white chocolate spice combo, and when I got it I was thinking it would be kinda like a chai tea, but for coffee.

Stocking Stuffer Idea: China Glaze Holiday Charms

I thought this little number was a great deal for a stocking stuffer or present for your holiday of choice.  It comes with 4 "mini" China Glaze Holiday edition nail polish for $8.99.  And these "mini's" are really good sizes to boot.  They contain 0.325 oz compared to a full size that has 0.5 oz.  It's like getting 3.5 full size nail polishes for the price of 1.5.  Ok that's too many numbers.  What I'm saying is that it's a great deal, especially since most people won't use an entire bottle of nail polish so it gets wasted.  With this set you can enjoy a variety without being too wasteful.

Silk Chocolate Mint Soy Milk Review

The best thing about the holidays for me is the food.  I love the holiday edition items that come out, so I thought I would share my thoughts on a few of the holiday items I've purchased recently.  First on the list is Silk Chocolate Mint Soy Milk.  Yes it's soy milk, no it's not gross, and yes I drink regular soy milk as well.  These where on sale at my local grocery store, and I want to say it was around $3, don't quote me. I saw it and got excited and stuck it in my cart, no questions asked.

Wet n Wild Color Icon Shimmer the Night Away: Review & Swatches

Today we have the Wet n Wild Color Icon Shimmer the Night Away palette.  This is one of the two 8 eyeshadow palettes that has come out for the holidays.  This is actually my first one of these.  I never felt the urge to buy any of the other 8 pan palettes, but this caught my eye.  I mostly got it for the purple side since I have similar shades on the smokey eye side.  This costs $4.99, an excellent bargain as usual.

Maybelline Color Tattoo Limited Edition Bright Colors: Review & Swatches

Blue on By and Fuchsia Fever
So as you know from my prior post, I enjoy me some Maybelline Color Tattoos (read it if you don't know. Hint, hint, nudge, nudge). I also have an inner 80's child still living inside of me (even though I'm too young to have truly enjoyed my 80's).  I love bright colors that are in your face.  Granted, they are not the most practical of colors, but life is meant to be enjoyed.  So, when I saw that Maybelline had new vibrant Color Tattoos, I jumped on a couple of them that appealed to me the most.  I know they've been floating around at Target since late summer, but I finally saw these at my local CVS (about $7-8).

Finger Paints Iconic Orange: Review & Swatches

Oh happy day! So in love with ORANGE!!!  Today I'm going to share probably the best nail polish color ever!  Ok, clearly I need to calm down a bit. I have Finger Paints Iconic Orange for your pleasure.  Finger Paints is one of those brands that I feel get looked over quite frequently.  You can find them at Ulta and Sally's Beauty Supply.  Perhaps the fact that it's not as accessible at the drug store might account for the lack of fame.  Each nail polish retails for about $5-6.
