Sally Hansen Mermaid's Tale: Review & Swatches

I know I was in the mood for spring only a little while ago, but I'm moving full force into summer now. Things have warmed up a bit, and all the pretty flowering trees have lost it's flowers. For my new pick me up, I need a flashy new nail polish. In comes the Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Mermaid's Tale, a dupe for Deborah Lippmann's Across the Universe. Although I've mentioned my thoughts on cheaper dupes in a past post, I reiterate that generally I'm for them, especially if it comes at a cheaper price.  I've been wanting a polish that looks like this, but haven't been willing to shell out the big bucks for the original. Now I'm glad I waited since this one is half the price.

Wet n Wild Fergie On Edge Creme Eyeliner in Little Black Dress: Review & Swatches

Next up from the Wet n Wild Fergie collection is the On Edge Creme Eyeliner. Currently there are two color choices to choose from, and I have the black one called Little Black Dress. Wet n Wild does make a cream eyeliner from the original line (look at comparison swatches here), but I wanted to see if this liner lived up the Wet n Wild name.  What caught my eye was the fact that the included eyeliner brush actually looked functional, and the packaging seemed to be sturdier and less likely to dry out.  These retail for $4.99 wherever Wet n Wild products are sold.

Revlon Lash Potion Mascara: Review & Swatches

Before I get in too deep, this was sent to me for free from Revlon (I guess technically a Press Sample). I signed up for a random Revlon new product Twitter/Facebook contest thing (like I enjoy doing), and forgot all about it.  Then last week, this bad boy ended up in my mail. I was totally excited because a) free things are great, b) I like trying out new products.  Now I've never actually tried any Revlon mascaras that I can think of, which is a little odd I suppose.  For some reason, despite the fact that I love Revlon lip and face products, I've just never ventured into the eye makeup territory with them. These are coming out in stores tomorrow according to the pamphlet included with the mascara, but I've seen these Lash Potion Mascara on display at my local CVS over the weekend. In any case, you should be able to see these cropping up in a store near you.

Updated Ipsy Glam Bag: April Review

This marks my second month of getting the Ipsy Glam Bag. The theme of this month is Pretty in Pink, which is a good theme since pink is usually a flattering color on most (as long as you find the right shade).  Everything was housed in a very plain white bag with pink trimming.  It's another bag that seems kinda pointless to have. I personally hate white as a clothing/accessory color just because I seem to get dirty easily.  It's rather alarming how quickly I get stains.  Regardless of personal preference, I got to experience first hand the customer service aspect of this subscription service since I did have a damaged item. I hate contacting customer service, but it's always important to have a good one.

OPI Sparrow Me the Drama: Review & Swatches

Ya I know you're probably thinking, "why is she reviewing something that came out like 2 years ago?" Well my answer to that is 1) it's a perfect spring pink, and 2) you can still get it, for the price you would normally pay for an OPI nail polish ($8-9) by going here. Now that I've gotten the preliminaries out of the way, I'm going to be reviewing OPI Sparrow me the Drama that came out with the Pirates of the Caribbean collection. And P.S. I'll probably pull out some of the other shades from this collection because they were awesome, and very appropriate spring colors.

Wet n Wild Fergie Photo Op Eyeshadow in Duchess Lounge: Review & Swatches

Among the other offering from the Wet n Wild Center Stage Collection are four eyeshadow palettes, and today we have it in Duchess Lounge. (To read the review on the Perfect Pout Lip Color from this collection, click here). Of the different palettes, I would say this one lends itself to being a smokey eye palette. These retail for $4.99 at retailers that sell Wet n Wild products.

SquareHue April Box: Review & Swatches

Now this is my third month of getting the SquareHue monthly nail polish subscription service. I decided at the beginning that I would give this service a good three months before deciding to continue it or not. To read and see swatches of the last two months, go here for March and here for February. SqaureHue's April box's theme is the Bloom Collection. This month's box brought all the fun bright spring colors that you want and expect.  The color choices are spot on, and brought some light to the dreary days outside.  At least it's dreary here, and I was in much need of a little bit of brightness.

Wet n Wild Fergie Perfect Pout Lip Color: Review & Swatches

Penthouse Sweet, Old School Glam, Fuchscianista, D-Vinely Chilled, Fergusen Crest Cabernet
Next items that I have from the Wet n Wild Fergie Center Stage Collection are the Perfect Pout Lip Colors. (For the review on the eyeshadow primer go here.) Now I'm a huge fan of their Mega Last Lip Colors, so I was more than happy to see a new lipstick formula for me to try out. I was even more excited by the fact that there were different finishes in the new formula as well. At $3-4 a pop, I couldn't resist them and got a few to try out.

Cover Girl Spring Fun

Clearly I'm in the mood for spring, despite the weather telling me otherwise. I seem to have found myself choosing some fun spring time colors with my choice of Cover Girl eye products to buy with my coupon. I got the Eye Enhancers in a new shade of Tropical Fusion, and the Liquiline Blast eyeliner in Green Glow (an oldie, but still fun). I haven't had a chance to play with these too much yet, but the reviews will come, so keep your eyes open!
