August SquareHue Subscription: Review & Swatches

For those of you who have been loyal and following my blog, you may have noticed that I didn't put up a post of July's Square Hue box. Reason being that something got lost in translation, and my box didn't get forwarded to my new temporary address as it should have. Any way, here is the August Endless Summer Collection.

Bare Minerals Fired Up Set: Review & Swatches

This is a lovely palette I actually got for Christmas, but I hadn't gotten around to reviewing it. The great news is that it's still available online. Bare Minerals has always been a quality brand, but for many years the loose powder formula only philosophy may have turned off many people. Now that they've considered a broader range (non-loose powder) of makeup, it's user friendly for all preference types. With a full face palette (just add a mascara) including brushes, plus a clutch (that I personally wouldn't use), this set is a steal for $39.

Skincare Sunday: H2O+ Sea Results Kit Review

I was trolling the aisles of Ulta when I came across this little H2O+ Sea Results Kit. Apparently this kit of deluxe samples is $29.50, but marked down to $18.99, I couldn't resist trying it out.  I've seen H2O+ products around, but never made the plunge to try some out. But now's a good a time as ever.

Updated Tech Tuesday: Sephora Color IQ Experience & Review

If you've been following Sephora on Twitter, you have probably come across the fact that they have partnered with Pantone to come up with the concept of Color IQ, a way to target your exact skin tone shade in order to take the guess work out of foundation selection. Originally this technology was rolled out in select locations (never really looked into which ones), but this month is the big push/official unveiling of this new tech. Curious about this? You can find a Sephora store in your area by going here. Most locations have Friday-Sunday event dates from noon-6pm during the month of August. I did confirm with the Beauty Adviser that helped me, and she informed me that this technology will not go away after this month so if you can't make it, don't fear.

Maybelline Clearly Spotted Nail Polish: Review & Swatches

It's Monday, and time for a new mani. I've been on the hunt/excited to try the new Polka Dots nail polish line from Maybelline. I was good, and also wanted to see how this applied prior to going crazy with the entire line of polishes, so I stuck with a staple. The black and white polka dots of Clearly Spotted. These retail for  $3-4 depending on where you buy it.

Lypsyl Honey Berry and Extreme Cold Sore Relief: Review

I actually received these two products for free from Influenster as part of winning a brand challenge (along with the original version) several months ago, but sometimes I'm a little late in reviewing things. I reviewed the original LypSyl when I got it as part of my Natural VoxBox from Influenster. However, my general thoughts regarding the original formulation is different from these two, so I figure it warranted another review.

Essie in The Girls Are Out: Review & Swatches

Essie nail polish in The Girls Are Out is one of the polishes from one of the summer collections (can't remember which one since these collections all tend to get mixed up within one display). It's one of the pretty vibrant colored ones with shimmer in it, and it has a great salacious name.

Fitness Friday: Coromega Supplement Review

Now that I've covered snacks of my liking, why not a supplement choice for today's Fitness Friday. Although I have used Coromega (found through my own research), this particular pack of four was as a result of "earning" it from Earndit (to find out about this, click here). Because of my Earndit prize, I was able to get the 3 boxes of the Coromega Omega 3 Squeeze for a fraction of the price, and they added the Coromega Omega 3 Fruit Gummies for Adults for free. Each is a month supply of supplement, but there are other options and packaging sizes on their website.

Sally Hansen Fuzzy Coat in Peach Fuzz: Review & Swatches

Textured nail polish seems to be more popular now a days, and just like everyone else, I wanted to know what the hype was. In came Sally Hansen Fuzzy Coat. I figured to give my two cents on it, and why not choose my favorite color: orange, aka Peach Fuzz.

Target Subscription Box: Beta Test Review

Since everyone and their mom has a subscription service nowadays, why not Target? Not that I mind that Target, or any company, has subscription boxes since I really enjoy them as a whole. This particular subscription box was more of a beta test to see the popularity and feedback from the subscribers. As far as I can tell, it's not a permanent subscription yet. The good news? It only costs $5, and that includes the shipping and handling.

To find out what $5 can get you, click the link below.

Revlon Lip Butters Original Collection: Review & Swatches

These aren't new, they just have the original stickers on the tubes from when they were new. I figured I would continue my good streak of finally reviewing the originals of the limited edition shades I already have. These Revlon Lip Butters really need no introduction, but today I have Tutti Frutti and Candy Apple from the original collection to review today.

Essie Naughty Nautical: Review & Swatches

It seems the concept of a "Mani Monday" is rather large on the interweb, so here's one for you. From one of the many polishes among Essie's summer collection is Naughty Nautical from the collection with the same name. Probably the best thing about this collection is that all but one shade has pretty shimmers in it.

Skincare Sunday: DIY Avocado Seed Face Scrub

Since I've been on spree of watching a bunch of YouTube videos to learn how to do DIY skincare, I figured it would be a nice topic for Skincare Sunday. This Avocado Seed Face Scrub is not of my own invention, and I learned about it from here (it's a video that shows the steps). Here's my first go at it, and my thoughts on how it works.

La Roche-Posay Anthelios 50 Mineral Ultra Light Sunscreen Fluid Review

As summer is still going strong, and it's hotter than hades here, I figured I should review another sunscreen. I'm a little bit of a fanatic when it comes to skin protection. Anyone in my personal life will tell you that I'm a sunscreen dictator. That being said, for that reason I'm always on the hunt for the best one for me. With La Roche-Posay being more readily accessible in the drug store, and now Target, I wanted to try out a fancy French brand. I remember my mom using this when she lived in Paris, and my mom's skin looks great. That was enough of an incentive for me to try out the Anthelios 50 Mineral Ultra Light Sunscreen Fluid.

Birchbox August Sneak Peak

Since I've mentioned Birchbox in my past posts (from time to time), it's probably no surprise that I subscribe to it. Today I have a sneak peak video of the August Birchbox contents for those of who just can't wait. I get, sometimes the surprise isn't enough to warrant the wait. It's cool. Just click this link to go to the video. Enjoy.

Fitness Friday: Snacks for Fuel

It's a miracle, but I'm being good and doing a Friday Fitness two weeks in a row! Today I'm going to go over my personal "go-to" snack choices to keep my energy up, and to allow me to workout. Obviously snacking without caution will not help you achieve your goals, but if done correctly, it might be a good option for you. In the end it's still calories in vs. calories out.
