Zoya Aurora: Review & Swatches

Continuing on with Mani Monday is Zoya Aurora. This is part of a holographic collection that came out last fall/winter. The great thing about Zoya though, is that you can easily access ALL past collections on their website. It might be harder to find in the stores, but you have access. Added bonus, Zoya often has good sales.

Aurora is the mid-tone violet/purple holo of the collection, and the one that truly spoke to me. I really enjoyed the fact that it was a darker holo. Often times holos tend to be lighter shades, which although pretty, sometimes a little too safe. Also it's a little difficult to tell from the macro, but it does have a pretty decent linear holo effect. As with most Zoya polishes, it was easy to apply and lasted a long time. The only true drawback was that it's a little sheer, and would look better with a third coat.

Swatches

Two coats of Aurora on the nails with top coat. Nice and shimmery! BUT-if you look closely on the ring finger, you can see some of the sheerer/bald patches of the nail.

Bottom Line: I think this is a great purple holo that's has a strong holo shift. It would do better with 3 coats to counteract some of the thinner patches. Otherwise good formula.
