January Ipsy Glam Bag: Review & Swatches

The January theme of the Ipsy Glam Bag is 19 Reasons. The number indicates the number of possible brand items available in your bag, along with the discounts/offers available. It also indicates the many reasons why 2014 will be a good year. The bag itself is interesting. It works for a weekend toiletry bag, and that's about it.

Ipsy December Glam Bag: Review & Swatches

The December Ipsy Glam Bag is the Celebration collection. This bag was actually aesthetically pleasing. I would actually not be embarrassed carrying this around. It came with only full-sized items as far as I can tell, which is a total score since the value of the items are much greater than the monthly fee.

November Ipsy Glam Bag: Review & Swatches

I almost didn't make this post in time before the end of the month, but the November Ipsy Glam Bag is the Glam it Up collection. This bag is a cheap looking, metallic gold snake skin clutch with a wrist strap. I would never carry this around in public, but I might give it to my 5 year old niece. But the point of this subscription is not the bag, but the contents.

October Ipsy Glam Bag: Review & Swatches

Yet another month has past, and another subscription service has come in the mail. The October  Ipsy bag is The Art of Beauty collection. The bag is horrible (although I do agree with the quote), and nothing that can be used in public in my opinion, but most of the contents were great.

September Ipsy Bag Review

I was originally going to skip my Ipsy Glam Bag post for September since I literally didn't get it in the mail until two days prior, but I changed my mind. Mostly because the Classic Beauty themed September bag was a departure from the norm (compared to what I have experienced thus far).

June Ipsy Glam Bag: Contents & Mini Review

So another month goes by, in which I didn't get this post out earlier in the month. My bad. That said, I haven't had internet access at my place for the last week (ya I know it's not a legitimate excuse if I finished the post earlier).  I still have no internet at home, but I have time to kill at Starbucks before I need to be in for the day.  Now that I got all the housekeeping items out of the way, I figure I should get to the task on hand. June's Ipsy Glam Bag theme is On the Wild Side. This is the first bag I TRULY dig. I liked the color of the May bag, but I like both the color and style of this one. The lime green zipper accent is fabulous, especially the way it's on the side (vs. the top). The material is sturdier as well, which is an added bonus.

Ipsy May Glam Bag: Review & Swatches

Today we have the Ipsy May Glam Bag with the theme of Spring Fling, the third one I've gotten. Who doesn't like flowers and warming weather, and sunny goodness?  Too bad that's not exactly what's going on here. In any case, I want to start off by saying the I kinda dig the bag.  The colors speak to me. Also I know this is super late in posting, but I had a horrible work schedule this month.  The benefit of my tardiness is that I've actually tried all but one of the products.

Updated Ipsy Glam Bag: April Review

This marks my second month of getting the Ipsy Glam Bag. The theme of this month is Pretty in Pink, which is a good theme since pink is usually a flattering color on most (as long as you find the right shade).  Everything was housed in a very plain white bag with pink trimming.  It's another bag that seems kinda pointless to have. I personally hate white as a clothing/accessory color just because I seem to get dirty easily.  It's rather alarming how quickly I get stains.  Regardless of personal preference, I got to experience first hand the customer service aspect of this subscription service since I did have a damaged item. I hate contacting customer service, but it's always important to have a good one.

Ipsy Glam Bag: First Impressions

I've been contemplating about different monthly subscriptions recently and whether or not I want to add/change/continue what I have.  I currently subscribe to Birchbox and SquareHue. What made me think about subscribing to Ipsy Glam Bag is that Birchbox has been really hit or miss lately, and I thought why not try something else to see if I like it.  At the same $10 a month, with good reviews and seemingly a stronger cosmetic theme, I figured why not?
