Milani has come out with another limited edition Shadow Eyez collection involving multiple shades of purples and silver/smokey eye look colors. For whatever reason, the matte shade limited edition colors never showed up in my neck of the woods, but I found these! I'm a sucker for purples, so a grabbed a couple.

Among the holiday items hitting stores, I found this display along the top of the jam packed shelves. As you can see there are 3 purples, silver, and matte white and black. I picked up Plum Amour and Romantic Violet since they appeared to be the most unique (compared to what I have in my collection).
Romantic Violet (right) is an icy-lilac. This applies a little patchy and it isn't completely opaque in color. This is a better base than an actual swipe of stand-alone color.
Plum Amour (below) is a red-based plum color in the packaging, but swatches more as a cool-toned dark purple. Not as much plum once swatched. That is unfortunate since I wanted the pencil to be plum colored. It applies well, and is opaque. This can be used as color on the lids in its own right.
Swatches
Hand swatches without primer. Plum Amour on the left, and Romantic Violet on the right. As you can see Romantic Violet is a little on the patchy side, although a generally unique color in the drug store (especially) eyeshadow pencil offerings.
Bottom Line: If you like purples, Plum Amour is a good quality shadow pencil, but unfortunately it's rather dupe-able. Romantic Violet doesn't have the quality level (it's a little sheer), but can work as a base. So check your stash before you go running out to buy these.
