Essie Into the Cab-ana (Updated): Review & Swatches

Essie comes out with a lovely Resort Collection yearly, and they tend to be very nice colors. Resort Collection 2013 is no exception.  This year is a rather vibrant color selection, and Into the Cab-ana is no exception. It's a nice bright tropical water blue cream. It's lovely and bright without being loud and obnoxious.

I have to make the disclaimer that I have a little love/hate relationship with Essie polishes.  They're either fabulously wonderful, or horrendous.  I realize many brands have their ups and downs, but Essie in my opinion has more extremes than other brands.  The good news is that their hang out more on the wonderful end of the spectrum.

This particular polish applied nice and evenly. It has the perfect consistency without being too gloopey or thick. You do need two coats to make it evenly opaque, which is nothing unusual in the nail polish realm. This had average wear time of 3-4 days with minor tip wear. I even got a few compliments while wearing this.

Swatches

These swatches are with two coats each and top coat.  It has a nice cream finish that's quite lovely.

Bottom Line: This is a must have from the 2013 Resort Collection. It's the perfect blue that will take you all the way through summer.  It would be a lovely toenail color as well.  Formula was great and hassle free to boot!
