Silk Soy Egg Nog Review

Today's holiday item might be the one I have enjoyed the most, but it's a close call. It's the Silk Soy Nog.  Each year I get super excited when I see the egg nogs start cropping up.  I get giddy and go to my happy place.  I love it.  I want it year round, but it's probably a good thing it's not available since it's not the healthiest drink available.  Now I have an alternative that's 90 calories per half cup.  I don't know how many calories real egg nog has, but I'm pretty sure it's significantly more than that.

I personally think that the Silk Soy Nog tastes spot on like the real stuff.  Granted it's been about a year since I have had egg nog (obviously it was last year around the holidays), but it tastes a lot like it.  Especially since I have to "water" down regular egg nog with milk anyway since I find it too sweet on it's own.  In my case I use soy milk to start with, so this tastes like my version of egg nog.  It has the appropriate spice without adding anything and the creaminess of egg nog without the thick texture.  Great comfort drink to have on hand, especially if you're stressing out about a test (as shown by the study paraphernalia surrounding the nog).

Bottom Line: Total love.  Go get it, you won't regret it, I promise.

  2. I didn't regret it. I'm not a huge fan of eggnog, as you seem to be. But this version had the right amount of spice and it wasn't too thick. I can see me drinking more of it. So you don't like the thick texture of things? You must be very petite.
